Chapter 2-What is going on?!

After reading chapter 1, my hopes for the book were not very high but chapter seemed to change that. The story began to pick up when Billy Pilgrim a "funny-looking youth--tall and weak, and shaped like a bottle of Coca-Cola" (Vonnegut 23) is introduced. Though I am enoying the book so far, I'm having troubles with Vonnegut's diction. I'm not the smartest tool in the shed, but I'm struggling a bit. The twists and turns that the story takes due to Billy's ability time travel are very hard to follow at times. Having "seen his birth and death many times, he says, and pays random visits to all the events in between" (Vonnegut 23), must be a hard life to lead. I'm excited to see what happens in Billy's future...or past?
